Dear Consent Issues Creator,

Thank you for creating for me! This is my letter for the Consent Issues 2022 exchange and I am excited to see your work! Below are my preferences, likes, and dislikes. I've included some information for each individual request on what I'm generally looking for. For art, I would love a snapshot moment using any one of my chosen tags. Comics are also more than welcome.

GENERAL LIKES

▸ I am a huge fan of character-driven stories, ie, characters struggling, undergoing trials of will, failures, growth and development.
▸ Dynamics between characters of all manners: friendships, family bonds, frenemies, romance, complicated relationships, enemies, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, and so forth. I love seeing canon relationships further explored as well as between two characters who haven't met in canon but who could have potential together.
▸ I equally enjoy plotty fic, especially that which fills in the gaps between canon, pre-canon, or post-canon. I enjoy works that make sense of any loose ends in canon. As my requests are all for video game canons, I enjoy works that could feel they belong there as a side story or alternate ending that could have happened if the character had another option available.
▸ I enjoy the worlds of these canons and would love to see more worldbuilding, be it delving more into the backstory of a place or artifact, visiting new shops or cities, or expanding on any piece that already exists in canon.
▸ Tonal and genre-wise, I enjoy works that are more typical of its respective canon in terms of tone, and also I enjoy more somber and dark tones, drama, angst, noir, whump, and hurt/comfort (especially when the hurt is physical) but I also do appreciate canon typical humor.
▸ Unconventional formats, especially when letters, newspaper clippings, text messages, tabloids, emails, and the like are featured within a fic.
▸ Age gaps, especially wide gaps, being noted, especially in romantic/sexual relationships but it could apply to platonic relationships as well. Generational differences between two or more characters and how it impacts their worldview, and whether that leads to the two characters clashing.
▸ All of the details, from worldbuilding (the setting, the place they're staying in, what sort of people are around them) to what the character is eating. I enjoy being immersed in the world and having all of my five senses invoked by words on the screen.

My tags work well for multiple scenario, ranging from That Scene at the sewer in the first Judgment game to any point thereafter. Perhaps something more happened down at the sewer that Higashi left out in his conversation with Yagami? Was he raped in the blood of Red Nose? Was he forced to deepthroat the same gun he and Hamura used to kill Red Nose, or was he penetrated with it? Was his own life spared so long as he agreed to become Hamura's lover?

What if Hamura had a hand in shaping Higashi into the hardened yakuza we meet in Chapter 3? I would love something that takes place during the one year timeline prior to canon events, or even during canon events. Their history and relationship is very messy, and the two men are very different from one another, and I would love to see that further explored.

A comparably lighter set of prompts that can be applied to multiple scenarios. I enjoy the idea that these two party members are either mutually pining, flirted up to this point but haven’t gotten together, are already in a relationship, or have not yet realized their feelings prior to the mxcon. Perhaps Zhao is tasked with choosing whoever gets to fuck him for the entertainment of a gang leader, and it turns out Kasuga was the perfect—or worst—choice. Or Kasuga passionately volunteers, as he is wont to do in the game, upon learning the mxcon is to nobly save Zhao's life. Some canon typical humor could work well here.

[Some Lost Judgment spoilers]

The villain can be anyone we meet during Like a Dragon or Lost Judgment, such as someone with a connection to the Liumang, a rival gang or an alley who betrays him. I would like to see something where Zhao's connection to the Liumang comes into play. Perhaps he was tricked, lured to a secluded location when he hears Mabuchi is in trouble? Or perhaps he is hunted down, tortured and xconned for some perceived slight during his time as the leader of the Liumang. Perhaps the aggressor is Mabuchi himself. Either he is alone or while with Kasuga's party. He may be rescued by his fellow party members, or by other people he may know in Yokohama, such as Tesso.

Getting fucked by the hilt of his own Chinese saber is a welcome bonus.

The prompts lend to a variety of scenarios, some of which personally make me think of substory-level shenanigans and others more serious. We have two men who are rivals as well as complicated friends and allies. Sometimes they're not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier. We might have a situation where the two get into a heated fight while drinking heavily and things take a heated turn. Or, sex pollen sounds like the sort of thing to happen in a substory with one or both affected. On the other hand is a darker version of the IchiZhao prompt above in which the two are forced to xcon for one reason or another.

The prompts here fit well for multiple scenarios. I mostly imagine bad endings to Maxi's face off with Astaroth in which his quest for vengeance on the slaining of his crew backfires in some way. Astaroth enjoys his victory by xconning Maxi. Or perhaps Maxi is xconned by Soul Edge itself.

I do ship Kyam/Maxi and would also enjoy an xcon situation where both are involved with Astaroth. This could be a slight AU situation where Maxi is present when Astaroth attacks his crew. Perhaps Maxi is xconned while Kyam helplessly watches as he bleeds out. Or perhaps Maxi is forced into a fight, with Kyam's life on the line. The loser of the fight is then xconned.
